News@www.adoption-net.co.uk Story published on September 27, 2005 Adoption Diary Week 36 Not much to update really, we have sent out our christening invitations and are now looking for cakes and outfits, the children seem quite excited about it and although they don't fully understand the meaning they like the thought of having godparents and a special celebration. I have been looking for readings/a poem to have at the service which would be appropriate and convey how special our little ones are. We still have not been given a court date sadly, hoping it will come through soon, fingers crossed, very frustrating all the waiting involved in adoption!!! We met with Katy and Ben's siblings and their new mum and dad, it went so well and we really loved meeting them, Katy and Ben were so excited and recognised their sisters straight away, they kept cuddling them and didn't stop talking about it for days. Jane and Allan were lovely and we all got on really well which was nice, I am glad the first meeting is over now as I was a bit nervous before hand. We have also had a second letterbox contact which went very well, we sent a letter and little home made pressie for Katy and Ben's birth mum and she sent a really nice letter to the children which obviously meant a lot to them and I have kept in a special place for them for when they are older. And that is it for now, I can't think of anything else to tell you and am suffering with a cold so am going to go and put my feet up with a Lemsip!!! Ellen
