Adoption Diary

Week 28

I hope that you had a really good Christmas and a nice New Year's Eve celebration.

I have to say that although I really enjoyed Christmas I also found it very difficult. On the one hand I enjoyed seeing mine and Harry's family, but I also felt a constant ache because I had thought that we would be parents by now and would be spoiling our children with presents and enjoying all the wonderful special times that Christmas brings when you have children.

Still, I did keep in mind that this surely was the last one that Harry and I would spend as a couple and that Christmas 2005 would be very different for us.

Midnight striking on New Year's Eve was very poignant too and as I wished everyone a Happy New Year I hoped with all my heart that it would be happier sooner rather than later !!!!!

So, 2005 is here and I am very pleased about that too, a New Year brings hope for change and a feeling that the future could change for us soon.

Patrick hasn't visited yet so no immediate news but hopefully it won't be too long before he does and I am writing to tell you all about our family.

Ellen x
