News@www.adoption-net.co.uk Story published on December 14, 2004 Diary of an adopter - week 27 Well, Christmas is nearly here, I must admit it hasn't been easy preparing for Christmas knowing we will be spending yet another without having found our children. But, I have been so busy shopping and getting everything wrapped and cards written, the month has at least gone very quickly. I keep thinking to myself in three weeks time the New Year will be here and that brings me hope that we could be matched soon after. Christmas is so difficult because it is a time for families and doubly difficult because it is the time of year when everything starts to slow down which means that the chance of you hearing any news about matching is very slim. Harry and I have put the decorations up and they look lovely, we have a little tree for next year which I hope we will be putting up in the children's play room. The next diary I will be writing will be mid-January, Patrick is due to visit us around that time so I hope to have some news by then. Hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and for those of you that are waiting, may 2005 see us all become 'forever' families. Ellen x
