Adoption-net scooped top honours at a gala dinner held in London last night.

The website, edited by Matt Bailey, won Best Promotion of an Online Service at the Newspaper Society Advertising and New Media Awards.

Matt is no stranger to the winners' enclosure. Adoption-net was named Best Online Community Service in last years ceremony.

He said: "It's fantastic to have all our efforts recognised at such a high profile event. Winning an award last year was fabulous but to walk away with another one this year is more than we could have hoped for."

The award was presented by Kevin Beatty, managing director of Northcliffe Newspapers Group and chairman of the Newspaper Society Marketing Committee, and John Robertson, president of the Newspaper Society.
