Adoption-net has been named the best
on-line community service.

The award came last night during the New Media Awards organised by the Newspaper Society. Matt Bailey, editor of the site, picked up the award during the ceremony held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Adoption-net has gone from strength to strength over the last 12-months and delivers almost 60,000 page impressions per month (August 2002). The site has also added many new features and services, all of which are available to users without any subscription.

Matt said: "It is wonderful that a site with such specialised content can beat off stiff competition from other on-line projects throughout the UK.
"This high profile accolade can only help in preaching the adoption message across the UK."
