New adoption diary starts next week

One of the many benefits of adoption on the internet is the ability to share information remotely and anonymously. Simply reading another's experience can be reassuring as well as encouraging.

Adoption can be one of the most emotional journeys that a person can encounter and many have the need to ask questions and share experiences throughout the whole process. This is probably the reason why our adoption diary's have proved to be one of the most popular features on Adoption-net, which is why I'm pleased that we are about to launch our third readers diary.

The new diary, which is real-life account, is written by Tim and Melanie. Melanie is 40 years old and Tim is 39. They have been married for 6 years and despite three IVF attempts have been unable to have children naturally.

Tim and Melanie were approved for adoption for one child up to the age of three in June 2002.

"Tim and I have always wanted a family of our own", explains Melanie.
"I think it was probably one of the first things we decided upon well before we'd even contemplated marriage.
"It was so important to us, that we were trying even before we got married six years ago. We laugh about that now, as at the time we were thinking how funny it would be if I were pregnant on our wedding day.
"Little did we know then how unlikely that would be!

The new diary will start on Tuesday of next week with a full introduction. The week-by-week account will begin the following Tuesday and then appear every other Tuesday thereafter.
