Single Geri Halliwell says she would consider adopting a child if she cannot find a man.

The singer told BBC Radio 2 DJ Steve Wright that she would "so love" to have a baby. Other stars to adopt in recent months have included Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart and Tomb Raider actress Angelina Jolie.

"I so, so would love to have a baby. Having a baby must be the greatest gift of any human being," said Halliwell.

Her former bandmate Victoria Beckham recently called her second child Romeo. Asked what Shakespeare-inspired name she would go for, Halliwell said: "Hamlet".

"It doesn't really matter what you call your baby - they grow into their names," she added.
