Adoption Week got off to a great start on Monday after the site received exposure on both Granada TV and Radio 2, as well as local coverage in newspapers and specialised magazines.

Radio 2, itself holding the title of Radio Station Of The Year, enjoys 10.9 million listeners per week.

Matt Bailey, editor of Adoption-net, said: "To be featured on such a station, in a non-commercial environment, is a great achievement for Adoption-net and a boost for this weeks National Adoption Week."

A link to Adoption-net also appeared on the BBC Radio 2 web site allowing listeners to look up the web address if they were unable to write it down during the broadcast.
