New social work students on work placement with Social Services Department were officially welcomed by the Department"s Management Team and Practice Learning Team on Monday November 18.

The special event was held at the Sandfield Centre with the aim of giving students an overview of the work of the Social Services Department and showing how their placements fit into operations.

During the last academic year Nottingham City Practice Teachers provided an impressive 72 placements for students. The team has consistently met its service level agreement with its partner universities - Nottingham, Nottingham Trent and Derby.
