This follows Adoption-net's recent success at the national New Media awards where we won 'Best On-line Community Service'. The IVCA Awards were established 3 years ago in partnership with the Design Council, the media and the industry itself, to promote excellence in the effective use of digital content over the latest delivery platforms. The Awards will be presented at BAFTA, in London, on the morning of 2nd December 2002. This will be followed by a networking luncheon at Fortnum and Masons. The event will be attended by clients, chief executives and senior government figures. The 'Public Information Award' is for any site that carries public service information - e.g. government and local authority, charity and public welfare services, tourism, or sites accompanying broadcast programmes, which provide background information. Last year's nominees included BBC and Channel 4, but was won by http://www.the-shipman-inquiry.org.uk which accompanied the national television documentary.
