Staff on the march for a mission

Staff at South Gloucestershire Council are taking part in a sponsored walk to raise cash to take supplies to families in the former Russian state of Belarus.

Social service workers and foster carers will begin a nine-mile hike from the council offices in Bowling Hill, Chipping Sodbury, and finish at the social service offices in Mangotsfield.

It is in aid of Convoy of Hope which organises lorry loads of supplies to the Balkans.

Three years ago council workers took part in a similar event and raised £1,350 for families in Kosovo.
