News@www.adoption-net.co.uk This story published February 15, 2002 Workshops on childcare Professionals who work with children in care are being given the chance to hear the views of young people during a series of training workshops this month. The events have been arranged by Lincolnshire Social Services to give childcare professionals a chance to hear young people's views and experiences of education. County manager for children's service Philip Hunt said: "We are very aware of our important role as corporate parents to young people in our care. "These workshops help us to take a step back and look at what more we could be doing locally to help young people in care get the best education they possibly can. "The most important thing is that we listen to our young people and take their views on board."
