Celebrities challenge 'stattos' to a football showdown

David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and Ant and Dec are just some of the celebrities who have pledged to compete at the Barnardo's Football Quiz, which takes place in the Whites Lounge at Tottenham Hotspur FC on Thursday 21st March 2002 at 7pm.

And they are calling on teams of five to enter into the spirit and join in the fun. Players can compete against a host of corporate and celebrity teams, including the Newcastle supporting TV duo, Ant and Dec and journalist and Spurs aficionado Richard Littlejohn who is also scheduled to appear on the night.

Hosted by Skysport's Kelly Dalglish and sports broadcaster Tom Watt, making a rare foray across North London to Spurs, teams battle through five rounds of questions testing the knowledge of the most ardent 'Statto'. The glittering prize at the end of the contest is the coveted Barnardo's trophy - and the knowledge that the quiz raises funds giving a future back to thousands of disadvantaged young people.

Teams of five need to raise £500 sponsorship, which helps fund Barnardo's crucial childcare work across the UK. A meal is also available on the night for £10 and a bar will serve drinks. Don't delay, application forms can be obtained from Amanda at Barnardo's London fundraising office on 0207 403 2555.
