News@www.adoption-net.co.uk Story published on August 27, 2002 Gig raises fostering cash Musicians hit the right note with foster carers in South Cheshire by raising £400 to give them extra support. They were members of tribute bands at a rock spectacular held at the Limelight Club in Crewe in aid of the county's Foster Care Association. The cash will help fund training events and presentations on issues about looking after children and young people as well as social events for foster carers and looked-after children. At one point during the musical evening, Steve Gaffney, of Cheshire Social Services, performed on guitar with the groups at the so-called "Cheshire Rocks" concert.
