A special event for families or people interested in a career in childcare is being planned at Rutland County Council chambers on September 9.

People will be able to find out more about vacancies for childminders, information about other careers in childcare, training opportunities and funding.

The Children's Information Service, which provides accurate and impartial information about registered childminders across the county will also be present.

Other agencies taking part will include the Youth Service, Long Life learning, Voluntary Action Rutland, the Fostering and Adoption team, Rutnet and the Inland Revenue.

People who have not yet registered with the mobile toy library will be able to do so.
