Community Care Magazine has reported this week that the Catholic Church plans to run an advertising campaign to promote the importance of marriage.

The Church hopes that the campaign will undermine the government plans to allow unmarried and gay couples to adopt.

A spokesperson for the Catholic Church told Community Care that if people aren't prepared to make a life-long commitment to each other then how can they make such a commitment to a child?
