The new figures showed that calls from children rose by 10 per cent, and over 5,000 calls were received during the first two weeks of the campaign. Also 25 per cent of the calls received were so serious that they require police investigation. The NSPCC said that the increased call rates showed that the message about ending child abuse is getting through
