News@www.adoption-net.co.uk This story published September 6, 2001 Nurture views about adoption A FREE information evening for couples considering adoption is to take place on Wednesday. Nottingham-based fertility clinic Nuture has organised the evening from 7pm in the Midwifery Training Centre, at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham. Nurture counsellor Marsali McDonald said: "We believe that it is important for couples wishing to have children to have the opportunity to explore all of the options. "Sadly, fertility treatment isn't always successful and couples can benefit from being informed about the special kind of parenting that adoption offers." The event is free for anyone thinking of having fertility treatment at Nurture or who may have had treatment in the past. Nurture opened in 1991 and has provided fertility treatment to more than 5,000 people and its 2,000th baby was born this year. Nuture carries out research into improving embryo quality and selection, and has Britain's only state-of-the-art 3D ultrasound scanner outside London. You can register for the adoption evening by calling 0115 970 9490.
