TRANSSEXUAL BECOMES ADOPTIVE MOTHER

In Chiayi City, southern Taiwan, a transsexual has become the country's first transsexual adoptive parent by registering as the mother of a one-year infant boy with the local government.

Chang Chia-ling, an entertainer known as Chung-ling, tried to make the registration on October 29th, but was denied for not having the correct court approval.

She has now gone through the registration process after getting the necessary documents from the court.

Chia-ling said she will move to Japan after her son turns two years old and will ask a local author to write a book about her sex-change operation and her efforts to become an adoptive parent.
