Three people who work voluntarily with children and families in Nottingham have been recognised for their work.

Joyce Smith, Gloria Reid and Maureen Barnes were among 27 people presented with Certificates of Achievement by the city's new Lord Mayor, Councillor Roy Greensmith.

Joyce, of Bestwood Park was rewarded for her community work and work with Childline Midlands, Gloria of Radford for her voluntary work at Elizabeth Fry Family Centre in Radford and Maureen Barnes of Hucknall, for her work with Parentline.
