The National Foster Care Association is looking for someone who can raise the profile of fostering in the UK.

It this week advertised the London-based post of media and communications manager with a salary of up to £28,647 and said it was planning to relaunch the organisation in November under a new name - Fostering Network.

The Association exists to ensure that all children and young people who are fostered receive the highest standards of care.

The new communications guru will be expected to organising media campaigns to publicise fostering and "challenge misconceptions about foster care".
