News@www.adoption-net.co.uk This story published May 21, 2001 Join the fun in Playbus picnic Shropshire County Council is organising a series of picnic and play events around the county this week to mark National Childcare Week Children, parents and carers are invited to join the fun when the council's Playbus tours the county. A variety of activities and entertainment will be on offer including a children's entertainer, circus skills, face painting and a soft play area. A bouncy castle will also be available at most venues. "Children, parents, and childcare providers including childminders, day nurseries and pre-schools are all welcome to join the team on the bus for a picnic lunch and play," said Rachel Curran, Children's Information Service Project Co-ordinator. "All the activities are provided free of charge, so all you need to do is turn up on the day with your packed lunch and suitable clothing. Drinks and a party bag will be provided." Today the bus will be at Innage Lane Youth Centre, in Bridgnorth. Tomorrow it is at Butter Cross, Market Drayton; Wednesday it visits Festival Square, Oswestry; Thursday it will be at Rocksprings Centre, Ludlow; Friday it travels to Jubilee Park, Whitchurch and on Saturday it will be at The Quarry, Shrewsbury. It will be at each venue from 10am until 2pm except in Shrewsbury when it will stay until 4pm.
