Two movies with an adoption theme get a showing on TV in the comming week.

Tomorrow, BB1 shows Shattered Family, a 1993 tear-jerker based on the true story of an 11-year-old boy, Gregory Kingsley, who made history when he became the first American boy to divorce his neglectful parents and win the right to live with a caring adoptive family.

It stars Richard Crenna with Rhea Perlman, Linda Kelsey, Tom Guiry and Cotter Smith and is screened at 12.35am and at 1.25am in Scotland.

On Tuesday, Linda Purl stars in Black Market Baby, a mediocre 1977 domestic drama about a college student who falls pregnant and becomes mixed up in a black market adoption ring who want to purchase her child as soon as it's born.

The film is on Channel 5 at 3.35pm and also stars Desi Arnaz Jr, Bill Bixby and David Doyle.
