Kent County Council is asking for people to nominate outstanding social services staff or a social services team, for an award. The authority will be presenting its top teams in each area with Quality Service Awards and wants your help in identifying the winners, be they a social worker, care manager, occupational therapist or care worker. Deadline for nominations is April 4. The award categories include services to children and families; services to people with a disability; services for people with mental health problems; a general award for support staff; a partnership award for teams or individuals from partner organisations that work with social services and a team award. The awards, to presented later this year, consist of cash prizes of £750, £500 and £250 in each of the three areas in the county, to be reinvested in the service the team provides. Nomination should be sent to Suzie Hill, Customer Care Team, Sessions House, County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ. They should include the name of the person or team, their place of work, your name and contact details and why you think they deserve an award.
