Pram protest for paid leave

A convoy of toy trucks and prams formed a "baby blockade" at Westminster this week to campaign for improved parental leave.

They parked outside the Department of Trade and Industry where about a dozen babies held banners with the slogans "Be Bold Mr Byers" and "Babies mean Business".

The Parental Leave Campaign, made up of 77 organisations including the NSPCC, trades unions and parents, were celebrating the first birthday of unpaid parental leave becoming law and calling for new legislation to make the leave is paid.
