News@www.adoption-net.co.uk This story published August 15, 2000 New play study in deprived areas by www.adoption-net.co.uk staff A major review of play facilities in Wales is underway after the National Assembly allocated £1 million to help address the needs of children in poor parts of the country. Health and Social Services Secretary, Jane Hutt said: "We must improve open access play provision in the most deprived communities in Wales." Play Study co-ordinator Marianne Mannello has been seconded to the National Assembly to carry out the study. Its findings will be discussed in the autumn.
