True-life adoption drama screened

For early risers with an interest in adoption, BBC1 is screening the 1993 film Whose Child is This? The War for Baby Jessica today at 7.30am.
The drama, based on a true story, concerns a bitter legal wrangle after a single mother offers her baby up for adoption and then has a sudden change of heart and is forced into a custody battle with the child's new parents.
It stars Susan Dey, Michael Ontkean and Amanda Plummer.
