Olympic effort to amuse kids
by www.adoption-net.co.uk staff

Short of things to do with your children this summer? In Lincolnshire there are a series of sporting activities for children aged 5-12, based loosely on the Olympics.

The activities, which are being organised by the county council's Central Library, include a judo session with top coach Alan Murphy, a mini-workout and a Crazy Olympics where, among the events, teams will battle it out to find out who can throw a feather the furthest.

The programme will culminate in a visit from some Lincoln City footballers who will talk about their work and take the children through a pre-match warm-up session.

Activities run until August 24, every Tuesday from 10.30am - 11.30am and every Thursday from 1.30pm - 3.30pm. Tickets are available from Lincoln Central Library at 75p to a £1 per session. Places are limited.
