A listening and information service for young people who are or may be adopted, and siblings or friends of adopted people. Also supports young people thinking of giving up a child for adoption and gives out information on counselling, after-adoption organisations, legal issues, how to trace birth parents and siblings.
Careline
Provides a confidential phone counselling service for children, young people and adults on any issue.
Childline
Helpline for children and young people in danger or distress. Offers counselling and advice for any child with any problem. Refers children in danger to appropriate agencies.
NSPCC
Helpline for people concerned about a child at risk of abuse, including children themselves. Offers counselling, information and advice about the care of children, legal issues and physical abuse, neglect and emotional abuse.
National Youth Advocacy Service
NYAS offers advice, information, support and representation to any child or young person who wants to have their wishes and feelings taken into account when decisions are made about them. NYAS is a safety net for children and young people who have nowhere else to turn.
The Who Cares? Trust
The Who Cares? Trust is a national charity that offers help and advice to anyone who is or has been in care.
